HELP OUR ARMED FORCES
Now a days, we the civilians of India very often read or view a news in daily newspapers and electronics media about casualties or killing of our armed forces soldiers by enemy who are guarding our national boundaries. Armed forces soldiers sacrifices their life to safe guard our nation. As a citizen of India we all are duty bound to help the soldiers, their families and dependents.
The “ NATIONAL DEFENCE FUND ” was set up to take charge of voluntary donations in cash and kind received for promotion of the national defence efforts , and to decide on their utilisation. The Fund is used for the welfare of the members of the Armed Forces (including Para Military Forces ) and their dependents. The Fund is administered by an Executive Committee, with PM as Chairperson, and Defence, Finance and Home Ministers as Members. Finance Minister is the Treasurer of the Fund and the Joint Secretary , PMO dealing with the subject is Secretary of the Executive Committee. Accounts of the Funds are kept with the Reserve Bank of India. The Fund is entirely dependent on voluntary contributions from the public and does not get any budgetary support.
The Fund accepts online contributions. Such contributions can be made through the website i.e. pmindia.nic.in , pmindia.gov.in and www.onlinesbi.com website of State Bank of India. Collection Account Number is 11084239799 with State Bank of India , Institutional Division , 4th Floor , Parliament Street , New Delhi.
The Fund has also been allotted a Permanent Account Number ( PAN ) AAAGN0009F.
Do Help Me community has voluntarily came forward and decided to contribute for this Noble cause. Once the registration process is completed by any user on DO Help Me website , and as per the Do Help Me THEME when the individual voluntarily decides to provide help of Rs.1000/- to three peoples , he has to deposit Rs.50/- in National Defence Fund account maintained by the State Bank of India. Thereafter when an individual gets help of Rs.50,000/- through this website platform he has to make minimum donation of Rs.1000/- to National Defence Fund for the Nobel cause of providing help to our brave Armed Forces soldiers , their family and dependent.
